Anyone have a studio in the DFW area I could visit? - 01-28-2008, 11:35 AM

I'm completely new to studio photography (I've never done it) and a friend of mine asked if I would shoot some maternity shots for her.

I was wondering if someone would be kind enough to let me sit in on a studio shoot just to see how things are done and what equipment I should be looking at.

I'm not sure where else I could post this that would allow for more views, any suggestions?

I'm available all this week... any help would be greatly appreciated.

Justin

I have a shoot this Friday.

My studio is in my home in SE Arlington near Joe Pool Lake. If you are up for the drive, you are welcome to come by.

Jim.. I didn't realize your studio was down there... you're not far from my house. :)

Not only that, but I think it is a requirement of OMP for every new model in our area to shoot with him! Every time I see a new model on OMP it seems they have some great pictures with Jim March's Logo on it!

I wish I could say it's a South Arlington thing, but obviously not if you look at my portfolio!

Well, mine's on the north side of Grand Prairie, but I'm sure you can find one closer to you than that!

But whatever you do, don't go look at Fran's first......

You are welcome to come to Rockwall some weekend and try out my stuff. I do not have a session scheduled for studio until Feb 23rd though. My studio is the front part of my home. I might be able to bribe my kids to model :)

Let me know Justin :)

One of Texas Photo Forum's sponsors has a backdrop and studio lights he rents. Robert Ferraro is willing to assist anyone in setting up and in posing modles. He owns Archinal Camera Repair, 203 W. Main St., Richardson, TX. Phone 972-644-7555. The studio is in back of the shop.
