Superbowl Prediction

Since the superbowl pre-game festivities have officially kicked off, I think its a good time for everyone to give their predictions.

Pick the winner and the score and leave any comments you want.

Patriots beat Giants -> 42-0

I predict that one of the teams will win. I'll probably hear which one the day or so after its over.

I predict the commercials wil be hilarious!

And as far as detailed predictions -- I think that the Giants will get off to a quick start, strike early, and put 10 points on the board in the first quarter, and then will be held scoreless through the end of the third, when they will bump up to 17. In the fourth is when they will try to make a run -- too little too late, they will stall, settle for a field goal, and then score a meaningless TD late, for a total of 27.

Pats will answer each score with a TD of their own, and will not need their fieldgoal kicker except for the extra points.

The giants will have a 3:2 possesion advantage over the patriots, and the game plan will go exactly as they want it to, but they will still end up short.

Eli Manning will have a stellar game, with phenomenal numbers, poise, and gutsy play, but it will not matter in the end, as the patriots come out ahead in the end. The score will be closer than the actual game appeared.

I think it's going to be a run away, not all that exciting, and that the TV ads will be the reason I continue to watch.

I think that the Giants will be disqualified in a horrible scandal in the next two days, and the Packers will have to play in their place. In a complete blow out Favre will win one more ring and announce his retirement.

Oh, I guess y'all wanted something realistic.

Dang - even though those Giants beat my Cowboys and the Pack, I'll have to stay with the NFC and go with the Giants. Can't stand the Patriots, Belacheck and that damn 19-0 record!
