Question Small MB Pro problem - 02-02-2008, 12:29 PM

The keyboard backlight will not turn on. When I press the F8 key, it shows a white circle with a line through it and refuses to turn on the light. I've also tried F9 & F10 without success. OS 10.4.11. Any ideas?

It shouldn't. I hardly ever use the backlight, and the machine is only six months old. I'm thinking a software issue, but I don't know where to begin to troubleshoot.

Well, it's working now. I just kept punching the keys until it came on. Weird.

Yeah that is kind of weird. I'd still check the mac support forums to see if there have been any issues like it.
