Aside from not being very sportman-like, when I hunted, you could only have so many shells in you gun at one time; that was why you plugged you shotgun chamber.
Just so you know I ain't crazy:
From the TPWD Website on Firearm restrictions and game birds: "Legal Shotgun: Shotguns not larger than 10 gauge, fired from the shoulder, and incapable of holding more than 3 shells (shotguns capable of holding more than 3 shells must be plugged with a one-piece filler which is incapable of removal without disassembling the gun, so the gun's total capacity does not exceed 3 shells). I don't think they will ever crossover to the consumer market.
As for this, If this keeps our troops alive by killing or suppressing fire from the bad guys, I'm all for it. |
Don't get me wrong...if this thing will help out troops, give them as many as they need.
What is scary about this weapon, even if intended for military use, is the availablitiy of the ammo. Try purchasing a FGM-148 Javelin and toting it around. Pretty obvious that you are doing something you shouldn't. A case of Shotgun shells? Ain't nothing suspsious about that until 10-12 people are dead and this was the weapon of choice.
Other military use weapons have ammo that is more difficult if not impossible to get your hands on. This thing, Wal-Mart puts the Ammo on Sale!
Pretty big difference.
