Nice essay on Mike Johnston's site by Cetin on the affect of polariod on his development as a photographer.

My dad recently gave to me the Polaroid he used in the commercial art business many years ago. Since he used it a lot at work, we had some at home as well, and almost all the early family pictures are Polaroids. It was my 1st to learn on, and our 1st after I was married was a Polaroid One-Step with considerably less adjustability....like none...

but our family albums are full of those Polaroid prints.

I had quite a bit of fun doing Polaroid transfers a few years ago. I planned to get back to it someday. I guess I won't. My kids called our polaroid camera the "spit out" camera and they always wanted to use it. They didn't understand how expensive the film was.
