Texas School at College Station - 02-27-2008, 05:20 PM

This is for anyone who's attended or going to Texas School at College Station or lives there. I'm going from Dallas and looking for different options (due to cost) on accomodations.
Is the college dormitory an option and does anyone recommend it?
I also know college towns have close residents to the college that rent out their remodeled garages or rooms for students, does anyone know any leads on this.

Just looking for different options, or shall I say economical options. Let me know your thoughts or is hotel only option.

Thank you in advance.

If you are referring to Texas A&M, dorms life is an alternative, but there are lots of apartments and rental properties around as in any college town. You should be able to hook up with one or two thers in the same boat.

Any suggestions on who to call or how to go about it? Should I just call apartment complexes?
If I can hook up w/ a group that would be great.

Most of the places you listed rent by the year or at least by the semester. Texas School actually has a new forum. You might go there and see if you can find someone to share a hotel room with. You will need to register with your real name as your screen name before you can log in the first time. There is a thread on hotels etc. http://texasschoolforum.org/forum.sp...picID=15061484

Yep, around here 9-months is considered a short term lease. It's extremely annoying for those of us who aren't students. :)

How long will you need a place? I can keep my ears open and let you know if I hear of anything.
