Help with PDF Document

How do I enter text that was created and saved in pdf format. I submitted an album to Graphistudio and they only have pdf documents. When I save and open in acrobat it will not allow me to enter text.

Their solution is to print and fax, but the toll charge to Italy is what I am concerned about and I do not own a scanner so.....

Right-click on the pdf file and go to properties. You might be able to fiddle with the settings there. At least that's what it looks like to me.

Rob, You need a version of Acrobat that will allow you to edit the document. However, the document they sent you may be encrypted or protected in some way.

Adobe Acrobat Reader will only read files and is a free download. Adobe Acrobat (which isn't free, but isn't expensive) will allow you to edit PDF files.

Thanks but I believe it is locked. Right clicking does not solve the problem.
Yes, 199.00 for the album and 84.00 to open their order form, I believe that I may have to cancel if I cannot find a solution.

I am no expert but there are several print to image fake printers. Such as BlackIce and some others that are free. They are a bit more complicated to get installed than acrobat writer, but free-er too. try http://www.cutepdf.com/Products/CutePDF/writer.asp perhaps? Basically you would fill out the PDF from the company and click on print, but instead of sending to your HP printer you will selected the PDF printer which will save it as a PDF with the filled in information.

Ok I will try that. Most documents that I have received you can
enter text and not have to go through this hassle.

print, scan as image, like BMP, JPG, etc
add text where appropriate with your image editor.

send as image OR save as new PDF and send.

It looks a bit kludge-y but works.

Oh, i didnt realize you couldnt even type text into the document....
You are pretty hozed. My other solution wont work. Most likely you will have to print, write with pen, scan, email.

If you are trying to enter text into a pdf that Graphistudio created (if they did not lock the file) you can do it in Photoshop or Illustrator. Just right click on the file and go to "open with" then select the Photoshop or Illustrator program. Make your changes and save, now if it is a multi-page file you will have a problem because photoshop will not save the other pages in the file when you save the corrections.

My sololution will only work with single page pdfs. Or if you open the file and "save as" for every page in the album and e-mail every page as a single file and have them reconstruct it when they recieve it.

Did you try ctrl A, then pasting into a doc?

Rob, I have full blown Acrobat and edit pdf files all the time. E-mail me the file, tell me what you want to change. I'll make the changes and e-mail it back to you...

ok I am posting via iPhone but what I am trying to do I'd enter my studio name and address on document created with acrobat and order a album then return the document to them with the required fields.
I tried ps but it would not convert neither would word.
I will try other suggestions tonight. Someone at work mentioned that HEB may scan
