Corporate Email coming to iPhone - 03-06-2008, 08:13 PM

Apple announced today that they will release in beta form in June and will include support for Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync to provide secure, over the air push email, contacts and calendars. Finally maybe I can get rid of my Blackberry which I've never liked!

Full story is here: APPLE iPhone

IMO, that should have been one of the first features implemented... Kinda important if you're wooing the corporate segment. But then again, when has Apple ever been good at that segment.. LOL

Good to hear.

It would be nice, but most existing users won't be able to use this feature...most companies don't allow Corporate email on a personal device...
if the company supplies the device, that's different...

Yep. That's was my point.. If it was included right off the bat, corporations might have considered buying them instead of Blackberries in some cases. Should be interesting to see moving forward.

From my side, I haven't found anything that works better and more trouble free than a blackberry device for corporate email. Now other things that might be fun...not so much...but the push email thing they have down.

Think of it this way- Apple was just perfecting the iPhone on all those 1st year adopters so that when they did include EAS integration, most of the bugs are worked out. ;)
