I am copying this from my post in my forum from today
ok so the past month and a half has been a crappy health wise for us.... me with strep, Brendan with ear infections and viruses, Ethan with fevers on and off, Danny(hubby) with his root canal from hell which work is not done yet...., is been one thing after another...... so just when I think things are better Bren gets fever again and complains about his ear... well I decided to take him to the dr and Ethan too even though he does not have a fever he looks tired and just needed the doc to check him out wince I was taking bren might as well....
so Brendan has ANOTHER ear infection... this boy took 6 years to get his first ear infection and now all of the sudden he has them all the time...so we got antibiotic for him and he already had an appt made for the ENT for Monday as the doc last time said his tonsils are very swollen and may need to get them removed and his adenoids... ok so now Ethan.... doc looks at him, and his throat is super swollen too and white spots on it and on tongue too.... so he has the virus Bren had a few weeks ago.. great.. he also wants me to take him to the ENT as he may need the tonsils and adenoids removed as well and he also has what appears tongue tied... so he may need to get that clipped too... so anyhow just called the ENT and they both have an appt on Monday at 2:45
Just so fed up I want my kids healthy..... they are sick and fighting all the time I am not sure how much I can take of this crap...... I am sorry as I am typing they are fighting and screaming and throwing crap in living room... even if I am there they do this I am sick of this crap just needed to get out this stuff.....
I LOOOOVE and ADORE my kids but sometimes I so wish I was single and kidless I just feel overwhelmed!
hehee ok I swear I am a good mom LOL I just read this and felt bad LOL... man my husband is always making fun of me as I tell him when the kids are acting up (which is ALWAYS) see they are this way because they are boys..... and he said yeah but they will get better but if they were girls they would be easier now but drama drama drama later on ... anyhow this is why I haven't been much on the board!
I try to come read often but not much time to reply! | | | | | Sponsored Links | Premium Members do not see Google advertisements. SIGN UP today and help support our community.

You may think I'm crazy, because when the nurse told me, I told her she was crazy!!!....but getting the flu shot helps them from getting sick with some normal stuff too...especially strep...Those ear infections are a pain...my youngest had 18 in his first 2 years!!! At 6 months he had tubes put in...then at 12 months different tubes and his adnoids out..we use to have to use that blue bulb syringe (they get when they are born) and suction the crap out of his ears!!!!!! It was unbelievably gross...and they are so crabby when they have ear infectinons!!! Do you have a heated waterbed?? My daughter would sleep great on that when her ear was infected!!!
I think it's time to head north for some drinks Loana....do you need directions??????

Pregnancy is going pretty good. . .my blood pressure keeps dropping really low in the afternoon and I get really light headed and dizzy for a few hours. . . not sure what that's about, but my doctor said it was ok and even normal for some.
Other than that no complaints. . . we're all on the down hill side of the sick stuff going around here. . .
Hope y'all get to feeling better soon!!!

Renae- wow that is interesting about the flu shot.... neither hubby, kiddos, or me have ever gotten the shot.. maybe next year we are getting it LOL
Ohhhh drinks sound soooo good right now.. screw the diet bring on the pina coladas LOL
Steve- hahahah OMG I think I am going to like the idea of being a grandma... hope it does not happen anytime soon as my oldest one is only 6 LOL but it would be nice when it happens!
Breezy-OMG is your kiddo ok? that sounds pretty scary... my dad had a piece of metal stuck in his eye it made three holes.. he got it by doing weedeater and not wearing his goggles.... got a major infection and lost sight on that eye until about 5 years later last year he got surgery on valentines Day to make him see again and he is like new... now he wears his goggles every time he is doing yard work!
Jennifer-Ohhhh no I hate the feeling of light headed... are u eating every few hours? it does not need to be big meals.. just something small a granola bar or something to get your sugar levels up!
Hope you feel better!
Thanks everyone for the responses... and Renae...I may have to take you up on those drinks soon LOL

I have to say that I have only seen my sisters with her boys, but we have 2 girls and I can tell you they seem a lot more "dramatic" than my nephews ever did! The boys seemed so much easier than what we go through with the girls. They are 8 and 10, and while they fight a lot it seems to be getting better. Their biggest thing is just the competition that they have between themselves. HOWEVER, they are getting to the age that they need to start doing things on their own but they don't want to do that either. By 8 and 10 I had already learned to cook a meal on my own, mow the yard and a lot of other stuff. Kids have it so good these days!!!!!!!! I feel your pain! I love them to death though, they are my step-daughters and they and my husband are the best thing that have ever happened to me. I just keep hoping that they will grow up to be as laid back as their dad and it's just a "phase"..... We have gone through the ear infection thing with 1 for years... again, I can feel your pain!

I have two nephews too and man they never seemed as bad as mine.. or maybe I did not see it this bad because I was not watching them 24/7 LOL like I said.. I love my boys but man oh man they push my buttons... and it would be nice to have pink in this house... my poor golden retriever keeps getting bows in her ears and pink shirts LOL

Thanks Loanna it was dh actually and he was wearing his safty goggles.
Not sure if there is permant sight damage yet.
Dh is pretty pissed though as it is his dominant eye. We will find out a little more tomorrow when he goes back in again.
Thanks for asking.
That sucks about your dad. Glad he can see right again. Quote: |

And I agree with Roxanna
My dd is by far worse than my boys. She is nosey, bitchy, whiney etc....
She is the baby and I am sure that is part of it but we dont' baby her. And she can hold her own against the boys. She can whoop either one of their butts in a heart beat.
But had she been the first she would have been an only child. ROFLMAO | | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
