Call For Entries: Urban Ambience

Submission Deadline March 21, 2008

About the Theme - Urban Ambience:

This exhibition will celebrate the character and mood of the
world's cities. Images selected will capture the spirit of urban
life as expressed by the people, cityscapes, events, street
scenes, street artists, etc.

Watson Studio Gallery invites and encourages all photographers
and digital artists working in all media, to participate in
this exhibition.

Eligibility:

The exhibition is open to all domestic and international,
professional and amateur, photographers working with digital or
traditional photography, digital/photo illustration or
combinations of these media.

Exhibition and Awards:

As a benefit of being selected for this exhibition, artists and
their work will be seen by an audience of artists and collectors
who appreciate photographic and digital art forms.

- Winning images will be exhibited and available for sale at
Watson Studio Gallery in Johnson City, Texas from April 19 to
May 23, 2008.

- Winners will also be prominently featured on the Watson Studio
Gallery website and be included in news releases to various
local and web publications.

- A public reception for the artists will take place on Saturday,
April 19th to coincide with Johnson City's Wildflower Days
events.

Cash Awards:

- Juror's Selection award: $300
- Director's Choice award: $200

Lynne Eodice, Editor of Double Exposure magazine.
Carol Watson, Director of Watson Studio Gallery

Entry Fees

- The entry fee for this exhibition is $10 USD per image or 3
images for $25.

- There is no limit to the number of images that may be submitted.

Interesting dichotomy between the subject of the show, and where it's being shown. Johnson City and the term urban don't have much in common.
