I guess I have no heart, I usually do not find things like this moving.

Weird, me neither. Good emotional story & picture, but not the type that *moves* me.

I guess we are all moved by different things. Having lost someone dear and knowing what is going through her mind while she lies there brings me to tears. (and I am not an emotional person)

Yep, you have no heart. I guess you've never served before. But.....those soldiers did give their life, for you to have to the right to not care.

Andrew, I like how you just assume. I did 8 years in the Marine Corps, and was deployed for half of that. Been to Bosnia, Sierra Leone, Cuba/Haiti etc. I have seen a lot of death including some of my close friends. I wonder if I can say the same about you. I am one of those people that have given my life, in fact my whole family linage have served 25+ years from my great grandfather on down. So do not give me crap just because I do not feel moved because of that. Those soldiers knew what they were getting into and the risks involved before signing the contract, just like police officers and firefighters do. Moving would be how both of my parents died when I was 10 and practically raised myself.

Oh, you put me in my place. You sound like a bitter person. I am done with you.

I am not a bitter person, I just don't like people when they assume things. I think your statement directed at me was pretty offensive.

It was directed at you, and you must be easily offended.

Whoa, Andrew slow down. I don't know what other forums you have frequented, but TPF is a very friendly place and we don't assume another person's status and we don't disrespect each other.

You know, I've met Stanford a couple of different times in person, and never got that feeling about him. In fact, I'd say he's a pretty stand up guy. But that's just one person's observation.

You may, however, want to review the forum rules here and take note of the top 3...

There you go assuming again.

Thanks Matt. I am actually a pretty nice person. I love helping people and also the less fortunate. And I do not get easily offended.
