Ovation TV - 03-25-2008, 09:31 PM

Ovation TV is doing a week long tribute to photography. It started on Sunday and I have been watching some of it today. It seems to be heavily geared towards the artistic side of photography - the actual image itself and those images that speak something of the person and personality.

The shows are good and interesting, but drawn out, slow and slightly boring. If you like artistic photography however, then it is something to watch.

Anyhow, I get it on Dish Network at channel 157. They are doing a marathon session this coming Sunday for their series - Genius of Photography.

Yeah, I saw that too... I'm TIVO'ing all of them so I can watch them when I have the time.

By the way, it's channel 274 on DirectTV.

They're doing it again. Watched a lot of them last night, and watching it now.
It's 157 on Dish Network.

Too bad they are all OLD and I've seen them. Good series in general.

Anyone seen the Diane Arbus movie with Nicole Kidman & Robert Downey Jr? http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0422295/

Weird.....

its been a pretty good watch when i stop to catch them...

the coolest one i thought was when the guy made a room into a camera... and project the outside world onto a wall in a dark room through a small hole in black plastic that covered all of the windows. called camera obscura. i had no idea... it blew my mind.

The Camera Obscura has been around for centuries.. there are some theories that Da Vinci used it to assist some paintings, including the Mona Lisa.
