I’m Losing Weight.
I have been eating right for the last 8 weeks and lost 20lbs in six weeks just eating right with no SODAS.. So last 2 weeks I have been walking to build my physical stamina and started with just 1mile in 30minutes I have now crossed the 2 ¼ mile mark in 35minutes that’s approx 3.7 miles and hour.

I lost 20lbs before I started walking. My knees would not have made the exercising good @ all !

I Feel Great and have lost 30lbs to date… Just thought I would share "my so far success".

I started @ 258.5 lbs and now 228.0 lbs

.

That is great, Tim! I lost several pounds three years ago so I can relate to your excitement. Keep up the good work!

2 years ago I weighted 275 and now I weigh 245. No exercise at all, just portion control (well some what). I still drink my coffee everyday with 17packs of sugar. If I was to cut that I am sure I would be losing weight faster.

But me having a muscular build (thanks marine corps) and me being tall 6'4" 1/2 helps me look sort of thin.

thats awesome Tim... I too havea COMPLETELY changed my eating habbits...

instead of devouring 4000cal from deep fat friend Jack in the Box Tacos for lunch, I now snack all day... and have Turkey Sammiches on whole wheat bread for lunch. I've lost about 15lbs in a month and a half just by doing that.

WAY TO GO!!!

I've been struggling with extra pounds myself and I fluctuate back and forth. My biggest problem is eating right and portion control. I have a tendency to make excuses for myself too.

Congrats on your weight loss.

Isn't it great?! You probably already know this, but be prepared to make exercise and eating right a lifestyle. If not, the weight will come back. Been there, done that.

tim, keep up the good work - good luck and stay at it
started out at 215 last july, now down to 178~180,
4 days a week spinning, 1 day yoga, 1 day road bike ride 25miles.
healthy food choices all day (most of the time). being a vegetarian has been hard to understand right protein intake, etc, but now i have a good handle on that as well.
its now a routine.

Great job! Keep it up.

I try not to get as caught up with my weight in lbs as I am the way my clothes fit (or don't...). Even at barely 6' tall, my lean body mass alone weighs more than the charts say I should weigh in total. I'm currently tipping the scales at about 245#. Using a standard BMI measure I am @ 33.2 (clinically obese). While I'm no stick, I hardly think of myself as obese (maybe others do...).

Point is don't get real hung up with the numbers. They are all based on 'average' body types. The fact that I swim 2 miles in 70 minutes, three days a week combined with healthy blood pressure and low heart rate means much more than actuary tables IMHO.

Sounds pretty close to me...6'1" and about 240 right now. I hit a max of 250 back in college and have fluctuated in the 225-235 range mostly, but now I'm at 240 and need to do something about it. I'm planning on taking up running or a lot of walking soon. What kind of diet are you following?
