The most common motorcycle accident is when a car and a motorcycle are driving in the opposite direction on a two lane city road and the car makes a left hand turn in front of the motorcycle they did not see. The motorcycles are typically right out in the open, but as this test shows, you don't always see what your not looking for.

I almost get sideswiped by a car not paying attention every time I ride. I'm a more aware driver because of the fact that I ride, but I had to go back at the beginning of the video to make sure they weren't trying to pull a fast one because I completely missed it. Very nice.

Yup. I got t-boned by a Mustang while riding my bicycle that way.
I felt like a stuntman in a movie as I was rolling up the hood and bouncing off the windshield.

I missed the bear as well. That does prove a point for all drivers to pay more attention to what is going on outside on the road and not what is going on in the car, cell phones are very distracting while driving. I don't drive a motorcycle but have seen some awful crashes with both a car and motorcycle involved.

I will now definitely be more watchful of moonwalking bears while driving through a herd of basketball players! lol

Seriously though, Motorcyclists are a high priority for me as my dad used to ride. I double check to make sure one hasn't snuck up on me.
