That reminds me of an exhibit at the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston. It was called Artistry in Arms, it was an exhibit of the royal arms of Austria from the 16th century, armor for foot soldiers, horses, knights, which included lances, spears, swords, and battle axes.

The armor for the horses and foot soldiers were arranged information and placed on stands which you could barely see.
