I've been having trouble with Firefox and its color management (read: lack of) especially when viewing the threads. So, I downloaded Safari today which has at least put the images on an even playing field with sGRB, even if it's not ideal. That got me thinking about what everyone else is using to view TPF and other photog forums.
So, what do you use and why?

I use Safari, because it came with my Mac. So far, I don't have any reason to change.

I've been using IE exclusively since 95. I started out trying to use netscape and IE back and forth trying to decide which was "better". The one that is better is the one that works for you. At the end of last week I located a thread on the DGRIN forum discussing managing your website. The recommended browser was FireFox with Web Developer plug-in. It works nicely, but I don't like that way most of the web pages I go to look in it, so I'm still using IE7 unless I'm working on my website.
Even the tab controls are the same. The only notable browing difference I noticed was when opening a link in a new tab. IE7 opens it next to the tab you are already in, Firefox opens a tab at the right end of everything you have open. Since I keep eight or more open most of the time, I find that behavior annoying.

Funny thing, so many folks were touting Firefox, that I tried it. I did some tests comparing webpage download speed to Safari, and Safari won. That was a couple years ago, so maybe Firefox has improved, but I've got no real reason to switch from Safari, that I can tell.

I use firefox because I do most of my recreational web stuff at work (ie - surf TPF) and IE7 doesn't work with our internal application on which my job depends. So, for tabs as well as bountiful plugins, I prefer firefox.
I even have a plugin that removes all the animated and large (read: all) gifs from the comments at Flickr (no more gold star and diamond awards cluttering my visual experience there!)
I use firefox at home when I am online at home at all so as to have the same browser each place and therefore not have to remember a variety of slightly different commands, etc.
EDIT: I also use Adblock Plus, a plugin that allows me to block individual images and/or entire web-hosts which are offensive (ie flash ads).

IE because it does everything I need it to do. I've never tried anything else.

Firefox - for the ease of Tab Browsing - and all the plugins and addons for it (especially photog related).
I do use IE for some work applications that require it (certain databases work only on IE)

I was using FireFox, but then it just...quit working. I loved the tabs, and the custom skin I had on it.
Now I'm stuck with IE.. no tabs, and I get pop ups more. Sucks.

Does anyone care about the lack of color management in IE or FF? Just wondering because depending on the color profile of the image, the browser can change the appearance.

Firefox. As long as the embedded ICC profile of an image is sRGB, I do not experience any color issues.

I like Firefox because to upgrade Safari on my iMac I would've had to upgrade the OS. Was having problems loading some pages in the old Safari.
Now I use Firefox all the time. The logo is cool, which should be reason enough, right?

If you're using sRGB, and you're using Firefox, then there shouldn't be a difference, but if others use a different ICC profile then it may show up much differently on your screen than on theirs and becomes harder to provide an even critique because the colors will appear differently. Am I off base here?

Until all browsers are colorspace aware posting an image in anything but sRGB to the web isn't the thing to do, unless you enjoy a majority of the people that see your images seeing improper colors.
