Books... there are dozens of them out there.
What specific angle are you looking at to learn?

Your public library and Inter-Library loan are a treasure trove of information. I have found that a mix of light instructional books (Ansel Adams being my favorite) and collections of good photographs (Adams, Porter, Haskins, Rowell to name a few) to be most helpful. Amazon.com can give you titles by various authors and take that to the library.

Cool website btw.... I like that design. There's not a whole lot on it, but it has a lot of potential. This website has a lot of great info about that kind of photography work.
I'd also recommend any of the John Shaw nature photography books... they're a little dated (mostly film) but the ideas are all the same.

There are a ton of Digital for Dummies books if those appeal to you.

Look into continuing education classes at the community colleges and universities, too.

I was going to say that too Brad... I teach a Continuing Ed. class up here, but didn't cause he said he didn't want classrooms.

I have taken classes at various schools - some of which have taught me much and others which have not been so helpful.
In the end I've found that books, classes, and all are great - but there is no substitute for experience.
When you go out to take pictures again, challenge yourself to do something new, to refine a technique you want to perfect, try a new exposure or whatever. There is no substitute for the experience - and then when you read or take a class later on, you will have a deeper knowledge and understanding and progress even more. | | | |
