Last night at he Sugarland Meetup #3 (Thread HERE) we beat our record attendance of 50 members set by our Christmas Party this past December.
Last night we had a total of 60 Members In Attendance!!! Well 61 if you count Juancho since he showed up after the place already locked its doors and we were all headed home.. hehe
I can't take all of the credit... the turnout was due in large part by Kevin King sending us an evaluation set of RadioPoppers in order to play with and see what they can do in person. Those things were cool to play with!
All in all last night's meetup was a blast!!!
Click Image For Time Lapse Video...
The video is HUGE. Just click it and give it a few minutes before playing... I need to learn how to compress it... but for my second time lapse attempt ever I think I did ok... hehe
Here's a smaller resolution version on Vimeo.com... images is not nearly as clear but it's good for those that are on slower connections etc.
Thanks Jake.. I shot one other time lapse a couple of weeks ago but never finished compiling it... so this was my first complete time lapse video.
So last night I was up til almost 2am getting this one completed.. heheee. In time i will learn how to make the videos smaller while still keeping a good amount of clarity and resolution to it. It just wasnt something I wanted to research at 1am this morning knowing I had to wake up at 6:00am for work.
I think a time lapse video would be cool to do at an event like a wedding ceremony and continue it through the wedding reception. Set it up in the balcony and see the church fill up, bride's walk down the isle etc etc. I think it would be a cool video to share with the bride and groom..

For sure!
I was going to do a time lapse a while back, but the local camera store was sold out of the TC-80N3 so I put it off.
I think I saw a time lapse of a wedding ceremony on Kevin Jairaj blog one time. It was pretty cool!
Pretty cool. I am 87% sure I am moving to Houston this August/Sept after my wife graduates with her masters. So prepare for 2 more additional people. I hope we get to do things like the Austin group, things like classes/strobist stuff/shoots.
Of course, it also sounds like a challenge. Maybe we can stage a DFW TPF meetup that exceeds the attendance. Although I'm sure it will take bribery. And as for me, it would be incumbent to make it to a meetup in the first place!
