Please keep my boys in your prayers! - 04-07-2008, 10:53 PM

Sorry I been sort of MIA... I really have not been in the computer much the past week due to construction going on at my house.... and well boys just try to get right in middle of it so I been staying in back of the house which my pc is not LOL... anyhow here is so far what they have done in my bathroom in the last couple of days
http://www.loanamitchellphotography.com/bano/
it should be done Thursday
anyhow a few weeks ago I took the two older kiddos to doctor as they were complaining about ear aches.. well turned out to be ear infection for one and the one one a viral thing.. their throat keeps having problems and blah blah blah.... well a few days later I decided to go back to doctor and have him check their throats.. as they sounded funny when they breath,.... they always have since newborns congested, and snore like crazy... so yeah their tonsils and adenoids are very enlarged.. so we get referred to an ENT and yes ENT doctor confirmed it and my 3 year old also has tongue tied so he will get it clipped as well.. she is removing their tonsils and adenoids the 3 year old (Ethan) has severe sleep apnea... always has dark circles under eyes.. won't gain weight due to not wanting to eat as he gets tired of breathing thru mouth and is always moody as he is always tired... never have gotten much rest since born :(
so after insurance worked everything out they are both getting surgery at 9am on Wednesday April 9th at 9am we will get it done at Herman Childrens and they are spending the night there.. hubby and I are staying there.... They have never been at an ER before nothing but a few colds scrapes and recently their first ear infections.... I know this is a VERY common procedure and no big deal but the whole thought about having my kiddos under general anesthesia freaks the crap out of me....
Anyhow if you are religious and can say a little prayer for my kiddos I would appreciate it.. if you are not religious I can use the good vibes and happy thoughts our way too!
Thanks in advance and I will update as soon as I can... probably sometime Thursday afternoon when I come home!

Good luck to you guys, I will keep you in my prayers. I don't think it matters how serious or not serious the procedure is, those are your baby's and you will and should never be comfortable with them going under anesthesia. That's what mothers are for. Just know that everything will work out and have faith. We are all praying for you guys!

I'll say a prayer for yall. Even if it's a common procedure, I can imagine it's very stressful for everybody in the family.

I'm sure all that construction dust has not been helpful...I'll bet they feel much better when the dust has settled and the surgery is over.....I'll be thinking of your family....

I'll keep you and your boys in my thoughts. I hate it when my girls get shots let alone the thought of them having surgery.

I will definitely keep you guys in my thoughts and prayers! My youngest son had hernia surgery (day surgery) when he was little. I was nervous as heck. Everything turned out fine, but he was very upset coming out of anesthesia. Scared me to death. But kids are troopers and will bounce back quickly. Just think how much happier they will be after this. Take care and keep us posted.

Thanks so so much everyone I really appreciate your thoughts and comments and definitely prayers!!!!
Yeah I am sure the dust has definitely affected them.... one of the kiddos room just had the carpet torn up a couple of weeks ago... I did it after finding out it had mould... so is bare concrete right now I rather have it that way than have it look pretty but unhealthy so it's waiting to get tile in sometime in the next few months!

I will also keep you and your boys in my prayers. My youngest had this exact procedure after two bouts with tubes. They do bounce back quickly but it is still very trying on you. FYI, make sure the pain meds/antibiotics they prescribe are not Cinnamon flavor. Seriously, that was prescribed to my son and you can only imagine how much it burned. Take care!

Yeah - there was no indication on the bottle. We finally tasted it because he would just scream everytime he had to take it. I was absolutely furious.
