Yikes! I'm a "forum master" - 04-14-2008, 02:18 PM

Promise I won't let it go to my head. It only means I've hit 1,000 posts, which says more about what I should be doing at work but am not.

Guess I should start leaving meaningful comments and posting really really awesome photos now.

There are many stages in the life of a TPF'er. The "premium members" circumvent the process but should be lauded with their financial support of this fine forum. With their dues, they can use a tagline of their own creation.

1. Junior member: Noobs to the forum who may or may not also be noobs to photography. I don't trust any of them! (Just kidding)

2. Member: Hey, you've reached 100 posts. You've stuck with the forum, hopefully picked up some great tidbits and shared some of your images.

3. Forum Regular: Hey, you've posted a lot. That's (uh, 500 maybe?) a lot of stuff going on. I guess you're serious about becoming a better photographer.

4. Forum Master: Bow down to me.

5. Uber Poster: Not sure when this kicks in, but surely it can't be too far from Master. I already feel like I've posted ubers of things (I hope helpful and encouraging in most examples).

I need to go buy a TPF T-shirt now.

Mine shows "Senior Member" and I'm at 300 posts.

Thought maybe they found out my age?

I must have had a "senior" moment. I know my tagline changed by itself several times. Must have been before I got to "forum regular."

I was wondering about that! Does anyone really know the levels associated with posting?
