Outdoor locations in North Texas - 04-17-2008, 09:55 AM

Hello all! I'm looking for good outdoor locations in N Texas (Plano, Frisco, Carrollton area) that provide good backdrops for portrait shots. This is only to take pictures of my family, but my backyard is pretty limited (no landscaping whatsoever).

I'm new to the area and haven't had much of an opportunity to go out and explore.

I like water/bridges as well as floral spots. I know the Dallas Arboretum is a perfect spot for what I'm looking for, but I don't really want to go all the way out there and was looking for locations that look a little more "impromptu".

Any suggestions would be appreciated!

There's a whole section of the forum about shooting locations around DFW here:

Thanks, I did check that out. Didn't get too far into it, but I'm sure I'll find something to start off with.
