This is the first game I've missed all season! I was stuck on flight to San Francisco and could only turn on my phone and check the score after we landed. End of the 2nd, 1-0 Ducks... I was worried.
Then, after getting the rental car and heading to my hotel I logged in immediately to check again. 4-1 Stars (final)! W00t! I'm such a die hard Stars fan that I seriously considered missing my flight for this one. Now I wish I would have, but it's so relieving to know we made it past the first round in way too many years!
GO STARS!
Now just have to wait to see whether we'll draw San Jose or Colorado.

WOOOOO!! It was a great game... I was relieved to see that they showed up for this one with some fight in their systems.
I don't even care who we play round 2, I'm just glad we got this one over with

It was a great game. But after two periods it looked like the Ducks would pull out another win. Buoyed by the power play and the work of Richards the Stars powered their way through the third period for the win. The first series win since 2003. It was sweet.
Now if we can get the Mavericks to the next round, Spring 2008 will be fun.

Go STARS! The Stars, this year, seem to be playing with the effort and intensity needed to win playoff games!

I couldn't even get to sleep last night I was so excited!!
Our defense, Robidas especially, did a fantastic job. Totally deserved the #1 star spot.
Round 2 BABY!!!

The bar was crazy last night when the Guppies pulled out the game 7 win. So, looks like the Stars draw the Sharks and game 1 is Friday night! Just when I get back from from the Bay Area ironically.
Wish my wife would let me stay just one more night, so I could be one of the few Stars fans in the Shark Tank!
Oh well.. maybe some other time.

the Sharks scare me...they are fast! They might get behind the Stars defense.

Sharks - I heard that we might be getting Zubie back sometime in the series but Boucher will be out entirely. Let's hope the young guys can keep playing the way they have been!

The Stars are climbing quickly (hopefully peaking around early June ) and the season series was split. As long as Dallas can continue to play "their game", I think we'll have a solid chance at this series.
