The Camera Professionals Website ???

Hi there, I'm new here and although I'm not a professional by any means, I love to take good pictures of my family, etc. My old 35mm SLR camera and little digital point-n-shoot have made me feel very limited lately so I'm planning on upgrading my camera status this week.

I know that B&H has great customer service, but has anyone here used www.thecameraprofessionals.com before? I've searched every combination of those words/website that I could think of but haven't seen any mention of them on the forum. I might be missing something though.

Any opinions on them would be appreciated. Thanks so much, you guys are great!!!

Tonya - welcome and I've never heard of them before. Also, check out amazon.com or buydig.com - they're prices are pretty good. I see you are in Katy, isn't that near Houston? I'm sure a bunch of the members in the Houston can suggest somewhere local to purchase camera equipment with that face-to-face contact. Good luck!

If you don't buy local then B & H is good. Been dealing with them for ten years with zero complaints.

If you buy "local" you will have to drive to 5900 Richmond Ave. to go to the Houston Camera Exchange. I have been buying all my gear there recently and they have been more than helpful.
Not to mention if you ask nicely Mike Wheeler will practically be your personal shopping assistant. :-)

I've used four mailorder places over the years. B&H, Adorama, Freestyle and Porters. Never had a problem with any of them.

B&H is pretty amazing, although for some reason they're not accepting orders for a little bit.

Anytime you see prices too good to be true... THEY ARE! This is yet another NY scam company that will either force you into a bait and switch or cancel your order.

As previously said, alwasy check www.resellerratings.com

If you want to buy online use B&H, Adorama or Ritz or shop locally and you'll get a lot more than a camera. Basically you'll only save the tax and you'll have a live person to help you with a wise purchase you won't regret.
