Help,
I read everything I could find here on how to post an image in a forum and reduce the file size and keep the meta data. What I can't seem to do is also reduce the heighth and width pixel count. It is easy in save for web but I need the data to stay intact. Where can I find a detail instruction to let me do this. Maybe step by step. I am trying to trade a lens and cannot understand how to respond with photos either in a PM or on the thread. HELP!!!!!
PS I use Cs3 or Elements 5.0

If so, then you can do this before saving by going to Image > Image Size and changing the pixel count to what you want. Then Save As... (instead of Save for Web). From there, upload to your post.
Sorry if you already know this, but I wasn't sure what you meant by reducing the height and width pixel count.

I did know that, but when I reduce them to less than the 900 pixels for max on a side on the site they are then only 1.5 or so inches wide. I have done the save as and reduced the resolution to reduce the file size to meet the minimum requirements but then how do I reduce the max pixel count to post without the image being too small. I bet it is easy but I am still lost. Thanks!!!!

You're looking at two different things: print size and image size. If you're posting to the web, don't worry about the print size. Make the image the 900 pixels (or less) and the monitor will do the rest of the work for you as far as being able to see it. When you're viewing the picture at 100% on your monitor after resizing, that's the size you'll see once it's posted.
