My kids love popping bubble wrap. My oldest daughter found some bubble wrap that I had taken off a packet from Light Impressions, and was saving, and started popping it. Well, the problem was....I had left it out in the garage, and had left the tape on most of it, and some of the tape was sticky. So her hand was sticking to the bubble wrap. I heard her popping it, and was getting ready to scold her, and get irritated because I had saved that bubble wrap, when I heard the completely blood curdling scream. Seems a large roach had gotten into the bubble wrap, and was still alive. Since it was stuck to her hand, she could not get rid of the bubble wrap, and came running into the house screaming wildly for daddy to get it off. My wife and other daughter who hate roaches, saw it on her hand and started screaming as well. I, on the other hand, was laughing so hard that I could not get up off the couch to kill the bug. Finally my 10 year old got it off her hand, but then the roach got loose in the house. I was ordered on pain of immediate wifely anger to destroy the now loose roach. It died. Badly, horribly, and with great shrieks of female angst. The moral of the story? Don't mess with Daddy's saved up bubblewrap!

I brought home some more bubble pack, and my oldest would not get near it until I told her there were no roaches in it.
