I had the privilege of meeting Ansel in 1982 (quite by accident...he was sitting at a park bench talking environmental issues with then Senator Alan Cranston of California) at Point Lobos Nature Preserve, near the Monterey Peninsula. Have two signed (by Ansel) 11x14s to commemorate our meeting. They are treasured possessions.
It's been 26 years and I can remember every detail of our meeting like it was yesterday.
