For U.S. forum members, what are your plans once you receive your stimulus check?

I’m paying off my credit card.

I don't Think I'm getting one because I owe the IRS.. UGgggggggggggg... even if they do give it to me I'm paying it back... I hate to owe the IRS.

75% certain I'll be paying off credit cards ... 25% chance I'll either purchase a Canon G9 or some sort of shiny jewelry for the g/f

I think the only conditions to getting one is that you don't have too high an AGI and that you file your tax return. If you owe money, you have to pay that money anyway, therefore, one doesn't have to do with the other, from what I read on the IRS website.

We used my husband's bonus money to pay off our credit cards earlier this year . . . so part of this money will be used for a new lens (not sure which one yet) and the rest of it is going in the bank til August . . then we're going to stimulate the economy on a Carnival cruise ship . .. LOL.

We don't use credit cards, so none to pay off. Paid cash for the cars, so nothing to pay off there either...guess we'll stick it in the emergency fund...I could use a new recliner though.

I am in the process of getting debt free. 1 more car payment. A bank note I paid off today. Two more card balances (that will evaporate quickly when I can push the car payment at them) so the stimulus check will probably get placed to the side and saved for when I need it later in the year.
