Motorhomes are actually easier to park in tight quarters than trailers, which tend to have a mind of their own on uneven surfaces. Disadvantage of a motorhome is that you're buying a dedicated motor and drivetrain that you won't use any other time and must be maintained, and the registration fees are higher.

Airstreams are highly regarded for a reason, but the curving roof limits storage and standing height on the sides. Not a big deal, but something to consider. New ones are expensive; older ones are old. There are a lot of modern trailers out there that are lightweight and accommodating inside. That said, there's nothing with as much cache as a gleaming Airstream.

True I've got a couple uncles who sold these in Denton and Beaumont for 20+ years, gorgeous accomodations if you like trailers. For just occasional use I think I'd prefer a motorhome, but if I used it a lot I'd like to be able to back it up, drop it off and still drive a somewhat normal vehicle when I could :)

John, here is a Jeep diesel libby owner's group.

I may still have a magazine article on hopping up the lib to tow a trailer at work and if so will mail to you next week.

Wow, that is one fancy pants trailer. I'm guessing this one doesn't come with the plastic flamingos.

Sorry they don't offer either a Laurie Anderson Model or John Water's Special.
