John,
I'm very sorry to hear about this. I know what you're facing is difficult as I went through it with my mother. I hope that you and Jeanne are both able to enjoy what time is left. Remember the good times... forgive the bad... be grateful for the time that you had. If it suits you, give Psalm 23 a read...

Missed this first time around while we were gone. Just wanted to say my thoughts, prayers, and condolences are with you. Take care and treasure the time you have remaining as well as the memories you've spent a lifetime building.

John, I'm sorry to hear this. It's never easy to lose our loved ones. My family experienced the kind caring individuals of the Hospice organization last year with my dad. I know prayers are always answered! And you and Jeanne are in mine. God Bless!

Perhaps unbeknownst to you and Jeanne, you help us each face our own mortality and realize the fact that today is special because we have it.
With the presumption of tomorrow, I'm afraid that we all waste much of our lives.
I hope everyday that remains for both of you, that they uncover those special things we each tend to neglect.
Live well and for the minimal value that it holds, I wish the best for you two. I know the time ahead will have difficulties that we simply can't imagine.
Though I've not met either of you, God Bless, John and Jeanne...
God bless.

John, sorry to hear that time is running out for Jeanne and you. My Mother was bed ridden the last month of her life and I took full time care of her so she could stay at home where she wanted to be, so from that kind of stand point I know what you are having to go through. I really hope you will find the same things I did through it, a lot of very special moments, laughs and good times mixed in right along with the hard times and when she finally found eternal peace I did also since it was a blessing that she would no longer have any hard times to bare. As time moves on the hard times are not remember and you are left only all the special moments you shared. The only time we truly depart is when no one is left that will keep us going in their hearts, and it's a cycle in life that has happened or will happen to all of us at one point or another. It's hard to believe before and right after the final ending, but the saying that it does get easier to take with time is true even though sometimes it takes a lot of time to see it.
Like others I'm not good with knowing what the right or best words are to say at such times, so all I can do is share how my similar experience was. Even in the worst of times, some of the best of times, most cherished moments, and even a closer feeling bond will bloom. And that flower will never fade. My prayers are with you. May peace be with you also.

May the peace that passes understanding be with you both. While this may be life's end game as you say, I am glad there is an eternal post season.
