Arrow Mpix wallet prints - 05-09-2008, 01:42 PM

Just a heads-up regarding wallet prints from Mpix for anyone who might order in the future. They do not print them with any spacing among them. They are literally jammed side by side (four per sheet), which makes it very difficult to cut them precisely even though I have a paper cutter. They will die-cut them by default, but I didn't want rounded corners since I'd already sized and uploaded the files.

The local lab I use here in SA prints them the same way.. and so when I want them die-cut - I have to allow for about an 1/8th of an inch around the edge for scrap...

I've found that my customers really like the die-cut wallets. I just got to make sure to compensate.

I am not sure where you were getting wallets before this, but this is the standard method of printing wallets images from every lab I have every used.

I use a RIP and all my wallets are printed in this way as well, then we die cut them to round the corners.

I'll know next time and may just let them die-cut them. I didn't know this was the standard way of printing them; for some reason I thought they would have a little border around them.

I just had a couple order 120 wallets so I'm about to learn about wallet size too. I was thinking of using Millers. I haven't checked to see how they are cut.
