"I was like ok, whatever, and took the photo the way they wanted me to."

....always a good customer service idea.

I've read somewhere that most people anywhere take pics in landscape.

hah.. what i really love though, and this was done by pretty much everyone.

here's the family posing............................................ .................................................. ...and here's dad standing with the camera.

He's standing, waiting, getting irritated because the thousands of people at Disney keep walking into his shot.

Sure, the family is this big in the photo, but you gotta get the entire castle in the shot, right? Absolutely!

But don't DARE give them a little "have the family stand closer to you and further from the castle" advice. DAD KNOWS BEST!

I tried to tell them in the least "snooty" way possible, I promise

My 'edit photos' says no; but because there is no "sometimes" option.

People in the photos are all Chinese, not Japanese.

Working in a photo lab I will attest to that. It is VERY rare I will get people that have done touristy shots take them in portrait. I'd say about 80% landscape, 10% portrait and 10% drunk/stoned/high.

Film, digital, it doesn't matter.

John - I love how you've got almost the same exact placement of your legs in the first and second shots lol
