I'm not too sure about "The Mountaineers". They are a club dedicated to outdoor type of activities (rock climbing, etc.,), but they do have a photography division.

I don't know if there are any forums like this one up there. There are lots of photo ops in that part of the country, though.

I was up in Seattle for just a day a couple of weeks ago and the carnival area around the space needle was cool, and Pike Market is the BEST place to shoot... so many colors!!!
