LCD monitors - 05-30-2008, 03:46 PM

Anyone have any good ideas about settings on a flat screen? I just switched from my 19" Viewsonic CRT to a 20" Viewsonic LCD, and I dropped the contrast to 50%, and brightness to 50%, and it looks muddy. Any suggestions, I cannot afford a Spyder right now, I bought the Viewsonic about eight months ago, and it has been sitting in the closet since then.
