I guess I'm halfway there ... my mom taught me how to clean a bathroom when I was growing up. I can also unclog toilets! I wonder if I'd have to supply my own equipment, i.e. a plunger.

Technician is a fancy word for "taking out the trash".

That's not too unusual. Part of the job for my assistants would be cleaning the bathroom, vacuuming the studio, cleaning the dressing rooms, watering the plants, etc. If I didn't have these things for an assistant to do when we are not actually doing a session then I would have to just send them home.

If the assistant doesn't do it, who does that leave? The person who pays the assistant isn't going to do that. I wouldn't. At least they call it as they see it.

When I worked for a finance company, during "bug season" the first thing we (newbies and low on the totem pole) did in the morning was kill and sweep the crickets out of the building as they crawled under the doors at night. Hundreds, no thousands, had to be removed. And they stunk. But you do what the j o b requires.

What is getting overlooked is that the job is "Full Time". That is the important part! Hopefully toilets don't need 40 hours a week cleaning!
