Macbook Pro - Any iChat users having problems using video? - 06-04-2008, 02:29 PM

I've been trying to figure out my video problems for a while now. Seeing if anyone
else here is having issues trying to video conference using iChat.
I'm running OS 10.4.11 (Tiger)
2.2 ghz Intel C2Duo
4G RAM

I've opened ports on my Netgear router and have reset my dsl router.
Still getting the Error-8 Communication Error when accepting chat invite?

Much help appreciated.....Thanks - Marcus

What IM program is the other user using? If it's not iChat, then it has to be AIM, because iChat won't work with anything else. Not sure if that helps...

We are both using iChat with our mac user names. She is using Leopard as I'm using Tiger?

I can't answer your question, but, I too use a Mac Book Pro and anytime I have had any kind of problem I've contacted the Genius Bar and they have resolved any problem or how to do something correctly.

I used to vid chat with a friend all the time and then they upgraded to leopard and now we can't..... I think that has something to do with it, but not sure what. Doesn't seem like it should.
