While it is easy in principle to agree with everything the author wrote, the truth of the matter is, that there is a delicate balance of how to actually handle the situation should you ever be harrassed about taking photos in a public place.

Being right does not make you any less restrained by the handcuffs.

"trust me... Im a photographer." (Muwahahahaa.)
Ive been kicked out of many a places before for stupid reasons that are similar to this while taking photos. It tends to irritate me and I end up arguing with the person. I try to be a little nice though.

skateboarding, cars, photography... I always seem to pick the hobbys that get me shooed away wherever I go.
