It's a garment steamer that is used to get wrinkles out of clothes. I was thinking about getting one of these for my pops for fathers day but I was curious to know about how effective they are.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

that one looks like a clothes-hanger-to-be; it's huge! I have one of the very small, travel type and it has served me well. mostly used on trips where suits and better clothes needed to be de-wrinkled quickly.

More often I simply steam them in the hotel bathroom.....

We have one in the studio.. use it for steaming wedding gowns and for blocking knitted items such as shawls and afghans... works great.

We have one we bought several years ago for clothes (I hate ironing) - works OK.

Things to remember: do not leave the water in it when done! In houston it will mold/scum up.
