in a family emergency. How do you find someone you have lost touch with that you have known for most of your life in a family emergency?

Search MySpace and Facebook also... I've found a ton of my old friends on there, folks that I didn't think would bother with it. (I hate MySpace, only reason I'm there is because it's so easy to find old friends...)

Thank you, Christie. And, no (unfortunately) everything is far from ok.

I've checked those to no avail.

If you know the high school the person attended, try reunion.com or classmates.com or whether there is a separate site for the high school alumni. Then send an e-mail through there.

If you think they are still within the state or DFW area, I would probably try name searches on appraisal district sites such as Tarrant (tad.org), Dallas (dallascad.org) , or Denton (dentoncad.org).

Or also try publicdata.com

Hope you find who you are looking for!

Contact STEELSUN of this forum. He is a PI and has offered his services occasionally.

Good info Shelly, I have used those too. Also try http://www.ancestry.com Debbie. It's much easier if the person(s) you are seeking dont have a common name, but I have never not found someone I was looking for using that site.

I agree with Captain Tom. Hire a PI. It's what they do for a living, and they're generally pretty good at it.

It is scary with Facebook and myspace. I can find anyone on there. Everyone puts there real name and you know all their personal business. I found some of my lost family members on there but yet decided not to comment due to the fact I wanted them to stay lost. lol

Surprised that no one has mentioned, just using google to search. I have found couple of Navy buddies that I hadnt seen in years through just searching for their names
