Whoohoo! Plugged TPF on NPR! - 06-13-2008, 08:49 PM

Called into NPR today during "Anything You Ever Wanted to Know" show at noon in Dallas (KERA)

Guy had called in asking for "tips on digital photography" for a newbie.

Got through, mentioned TPF - and they linked it from their main site!

http://kera.org/radio/anything/

That's at least worth a couple of kudos from Abel!

The caller was looking for info on a basic, intro digital photography class (just purchased a high end camera) in Dallas.

Said - "Step 1, go to TPF!"

It's free, local to texas shooters, friendly, and will give you TONS of good info from professionals...

I learned more by posting / reading on TPF than I could have learned in a dozen professional (read very expensive) classes over the last 2 years.

Don't get me wrong, class time is important and you should take 'em...but if you're looking to do a specific thing, or need help on wierd camera setting, can't do better than this.

Plus we have regular get togethers!

D.

Step 1: Learn about photography BEFORE buying a highend camera.

Ya! I've been meaning to ask about that. When are we going to have a GTG for those of us who aren't so regular?

OK! So, congrats, Daylon (and Abel). It's nice to see I'm not the only one drinkin' the TPF Koolaid.
