Single/double spacing - 06-24-2008, 03:14 PM

How do I change my double spacing, in Word 2007, to single? I can't find anything in the toolbars. All they seem to offer is spacing between paragraphs.

you have to select all the text that you want. Then on the toolbar got to Format -> Paragraph and then you will be able to change it to single and then change the boxes about spacing before and after to 0.

Well, I used the last option in the bag, I asked Word for help. In this case, hit shift+enter after each line. If you want to set up a rule, there is more to do, but this served for now. Thanks, folks.

if you go to "Format" -> "Paragraph" You are able to change the "line spacing" to single. To the left there will be boxes starting pt after/before the lines (the default in word 2007 is 0pt before and 10pt after) if you change the 10 to 0 then it will look like single spacing.

You can also hit "Defaults" after so it updates the template for new documents if you want this format for your new documents.
