Fort Bend lawn help recommendations - 06-24-2008, 06:53 PM

I need to get my front yard re-sodded and feel it's also time to get a sprinkler system put in. I can't tell you how many problems I've had with my yard, but it's time to fix it.

I'm not going to have the back yard done For whatever reason it's in great shape.

Are there companies that will do both jobs? Any idea at the kind of costs I'm looking at? Any recommendations will be appreciated.

Allen

Try Randy Lemmon's web site, there might be some useful info or companies there. http://www.ktrh.com/pages/gardenline.html

Your going to have a tough time if you have a lot of shade.

If you get an irrigation system insist on schedule 40 pvc. It is stronger than the thin wall pipe they usually use and you'll have much fewer problems down the road. It should not be much more and they use the same fittings.

Yes, that was the first place I went for info. I also emailed him, but I know he gets a ton of emails so I'm not hopeful of an answer. My yard is only 6 years old. I have a couple of live oaks. They aren't giant so I'm not sure if they are causing a problem or not.

A couple of years ago I got some major cinch bug damage after a long hot summer. I watered but probably not enough. After that bermuda grass worked it's way in and I have a mix of both. This past year I got take all patch (self diagnosed) and that's really caused some problems. I have some really bad dead spots right now.
