I tried my best not to laugh while watching "Wipeout" on ABC but it was too hilarious!

There would be some outstanding action shots on that set!

it's fair, the commentary is pretty lame if you've ever seen "Most Extreme Challenge". MXC is a real japanese gameshow that has been imported and given english overdubs.

The overdubs have nothing to do with the actual game and are totally off the wall and some of the funniest stuff you've ever seen on TV. Even the team names are hilarious.

Wipeout is a lot more Americanized, with individuals instead of teams and the obstacles are a lot more complex and theatrical than on the japanese show.

the follow-up show "I Survived a Japanese Gameshow" is the real hoot. An American reality show in the non-reality of Japanese TV. This one has potential.

I only get 3 channels so I gave the new show a watch. I seriously tried not to laugh but it was impossible. I have to admit the commentary was lame. I missed shooting a good sunset though but the laughs were worth it. Those folks have to be sore the next day.

Hey Tom, next windfall I have or when diesel drops about half, I'll try to catch you for lunch up in Fort Worth. My stimulas went for a water heater so I'm now de-stimulated.

Wipeout and Japanese Gameshow had me cracking up. I had just watched an MXC marathon the night before too.

You would get some awesome photos on that Wipeout set.

Yeah I think Petrozza will win.

On the subject of Japanese to English shows...nothing beats Iron Chef. My wife and I love hearing the dub overs and the Japanese sayings translated to English.
