Legal ambitions - 06-28-2008, 11:18 AM

Loud car sterios and loud car exhaust are lessing the quality of life not only for me but I am sure some of you. Sleep deprevation and even sanctity of being inside one's own home are possibilities here. Since police help is out of the question I am considering legal action and perhaps even a group action so that others can benifit. I propose to target the offenders however I am in need of advice on collecting evidence for court. It would be awesome to set up a foundation to fine tune requirements and nail down proceedures.
Any thoughts?

A police friend of mine said that if the neighbor's dog keeps barking late at night, to call the police. When they come to the house, explain what is going on and which house is giving you the problem. Then tell them that you will swear out the complaint. The police can't fine or ticket the neighbor if they cannot witness the problem, but since you are the witness, he said you can swear out the complaint and force the neighbor into court.

Not sure if you really want to take matters this far, but it is an option.

Did you ever see the show on COPS where in FL they used the noise ordinance to pull over someone and then found some drugs in there car. Isn't it great to live in a country where search and seizure can be established because of your radio?
