Cool Who said Wayne doesn't do JPEGs? - 07-01-2008, 01:37 PM

When I'm not participating in meaningful discussions on various photography forums, I get to build stuff on a computer.

Here's a little truss I threw together this morning. It's roughly 160' wide by 90' high. The blue pipes are 36" O.D. and the yellow pipes are 24" O.D. It's not complete yet.

This is 1 million PLUS pounds of steel.

Happy 4th of July Y'all!

You work for NewTek? We're users of the past generations of Toaster and TriCaster converts.

Who here thinks Wayne played with Erector Sets as a kid? ;)

So why is there more vertical support on the right vs. the left? Or am I just looking at it weird?

I used to make stuff like that out of magnetic sticks and ball bearings... then model it in AutoCAD and calculate the forces at given points, maximum load, etc. I don't remember how to do any of it, though.
