I don't really like the style or technique. Seems he is just pointing the camera and flashing people to death hoping for a good shot to turn out. My opinion.

Wonder how many times per day he gets threatened? I don't think I could do what he does. I think that, for the most part, people just want to be left alone so that they can go about their daily business. What he's doing just seems.... I dunno.... rude.

It seems VERY rude and would seriously annoy me if I was one of the people whose face he shoved the camera in. Seems to me he isn't getting the true personality of the person or expression. He is getting that "duh" look you get when you say someone's name and snap the picture when they turn.

I think the photos are great. he really does capture the streets. I could never do it, and yeah it's rude. But heck, there are a lot of rude photographers out there. At least he's not out to get a shot to sell to a magazine that will destroy celebrities' reputation, or using war or disaster to make money with photography. With that said, I'm not saying what he does is good, but I am very attracted to the final result.

is that even legal? what if someone objects?
can you imagine being flashed by him? that would be such a surprise.

He's just taking a photo...no harm in that...it doesnt hurt, there's no pain to the subject. Rude? Idk, I think it is great candid shots that he isnt afraid to get...I'd do it! And if they got mad, I'd laugh at them...there is nothing I hate more than posed, fake shots...hence the reason I cant stand wedding or senior portrait photography...I totally be down to spend a day with him!

Does nothing for me. Nothing more than snap shots with blasted flash. Yee haw. I guess if you're into deer in the headlights pics of annoyed people... then great. I ain't.

To each his own.

It's New York City. I think being rude is a requirement on the street. Just normal for that city.

That's what I was thinking. He just fits into the environment. Do that on the streets of FW, and you'll end up lassoed and hog-tied!

I do agree with those who think that some of his images are very good. However, out side of the New York 'in-your-face' environment I don't think that he would last for more than a couple of hours!

Some of it's interesting, but should the camera really effect the environment in which it's photographing?

He's doing his own thing. Can't really criticize someone else's taste/style of doing things just because it's not something you would do. I personally would like it being done to me but I like alot of his shots!

Like AndrewCCM said, "To each his own."
