Wanted: Competition Mentor - 07-09-2008, 08:11 PM

I'm thinking about submitting a few images to the SWPPA competition this fall and would like someone who has navigated to process that will let me pick his or her brain and get some opinions on what might work for judges, etc....

Brad,

I would be happy to help. I ask my friends for help and opinions with entries all the time. Sometimes you get too close to an image to be objective. A lot of opinions will help. Do you go to DPPA? They will score your prints each month and you can talk to the judges. I can also help you with the how to successfully get your images considered and physically entered under the rules.

You might consider joining Metroplex Professional Photographers. Meetings are close to you and dues are reasonable. There is a monthly competition.
There is a lecture or seminar at each monthly meeting.
They are having a membership drive right now, so if you come make sure to list me as your sponsor. I'll get some points
