Hi everyone! My husband and I are photographers but we're also into making indie films here in Dallas.

We are screening our movie The Wrong Hit on August 2nd at the Rose Marine Theatre in Fort Worth.

I would like to make the evening special for all our local actors by making it appear like a BIG TIME movie and having "the paparazzi" out there.

I am looking for 3-4 photographers that might have that evening open. This shoot is a STRESS FREE shoot. It's all about fun. You get to watch the movie, meet new people and watch a movie for free. For your participation we would also give you a free copy of the DVD.

Please do not start screaming and hollering at me that you work for money because that's what brings home the bacon.

I'm looking for amateur or professional photographers that have an open night and just want to come out and have fun and a few cold drinks! If you love movies the way we do then even better.

In case anyone is wondering why we can't do the photos ourselves - well we're hosting and are the ones getting everything together so our hands are already full. ANY and ALL HELP is Supercalifragilisticexpialidociously APPRECIATED.

this shouldnt be too bad. you could get a bunch of tpf people to do that. we wanted to do a flash mob thing but i think it never panned out.

and how many images are you expecting for "free"? will these "amateur or professional photographers" get any credit or compensation for their work? you're making a profit from the movie at some point aren't you?

Wow, I thought I was the biggest cynic on this board.

My take on this is that the OP wants to have a cadre of people with flash cameras who will act like paparazzi while the actors, etc. are gathered in and around the theater. I don't beleive the OP actually expects to use any photos. It's just to make the screening a fun event and simulate a "grand opening" ala Hollywood.

Why not just make this a TPF GTG? We already have the date and the place. All we need is the time. Sounds like a real hoot to me. I'm in. Hey Tom, why not post this on the new events calendar.

Hi everyone! Thanks for all of your responses. It would be great if we could make it an event.

We'll take whatever pictures each one of you wants to depart with for free. The only place I could see us posting pics would be on a personal site like myspace or on the movie site which is www.infinitusproductions.com and if we did use them in any shape or manner, I can go ahead and say that
1. I'll notify you (unless you don't want to be notified)
2. we'll make sure to give the photographer credit on the photo itself

As for the time - the event will start at 730pm so if you might want to arrive at 715 or so. Not sure I've never been part of the paparazzi before, any suggestions for the time that paparazzi should arrive?

BTW you can watch a trailer of the movie on You Tube - Just type in The Wrong Hit and it's posted by JGF08.
