You'd better watch out.

I haven't been called out for being a stalker yet, but I guess it's only a matter of time. I shoot Nikon like the pervert in question, too. (I hear all the best perverts do).

I would be furious if that was me, and I probably wouldn't have been as civil as that gentleman

Maybe it had something to do with his line of work?

"The 39-year-old rubber consultant and father-of-three from Reedswood, Walsall, was with wife Tracey at the Wolverhampton Show when their sons asked to go on an inflatable slide.

He said: 'I started taking photographs of them having a good time. Moments later the woman running the slide told me to stop."

I just read about this and was about to post the same story. There are a lot of nuts out there (the accuser, not the dad).

Plus one. I would have taken her picture and told her I would photoshop her in all sorts of crazy scenarios.

My family sometimes go to the park with my wife's sister's kid. I love my nephew, he's incredibly photogenic, and I am the resident photographer so I end up with my SLR out and shooting pictures. I am often a little uncomfortable because of stories like this. I keep waiting for some parent to come accuse me.

Ugh.

The few keep ruining it for the many.

Yeah.. I am right there with you.. Shooting my kids at their various sporting/school events and such...I often wonder when that is going to happen to me. I need to get a good one liner ready for the day.

"Parental paranoia" perfect term. This is exactly why I am so careful taking photos in public, people are just getting wacky.

Discussion like this help to keep us innocent photographers in "wary" mode when out shooting in public. If we are aware of public paranoia then when we are confronted maybe we can keep our cool.

I fully predict that it won't be long before some whacky parent will take a gun and assault a photographer, completely believing they have the right to "protect" their child from having their photo taken.

Gah I hope not!! I can only imagine if she/he runs into a photographer that carries (legally)
