Mail. I hate mail. There is nothing in my residential mailbox that I want. Not a ding dang thing. Bills? I pay those online. Samples? That is what old ladies at the supermarkets on Sundays are for. Other than that what is there? Junk mail. Of course, it seems that some mail is junkier than others and doesn't even come in a mailbox.

So it all started when I got in my car there other day. Pika was in the backseat doing whatever it is that Pika does when I can't see him. And I see that there is a letter from "Pika, Pika, Pika and Mime" taped to my steering wheel. "Pika what the hell is this?"

"Can't talk. Sleeping." A truly convincing declaration of innocence if ever I heard one.

::sigh:: So I shake it lightly and then open it. Inside I find a very convincingly typed letter stating the following:

"Dear Sir or Madam:

"We are contacting you today in regards to your unlicensed use of the letter 'H'. Our records show no documented agreement between our client and yourself regarding said license.

"We have no choice but to insist that you immediate cease and desist from further use of the letter 'H' until this matter is resolved.

"Furthermore our records show period of 30+ years of unlicensed use. However, we understand that you may not have been aware of the expiration of your free trial of the letter 'H' and are thus prepared to waive punitive fees provided you contact our representatives regarding immediate licensing for further use of the letter 'H'.

"Please take immediate action regarding this matter as we have hired goons we can send to collect the dough.

"Thank you for your time."

.... Really? What do you say to that?

"Um, you know I'm not falling for this."

"I think you mean you're 'not falling for TIS'! Now pay up!"

This is what comes of a generation watching Court TV and getting AOL sample discs.
