The "ethics" of Craigslist - 07-30-2008, 10:37 AM

I sometimes troll the CL listings looking for an interesting old bicycle or boat. But this was in the writing & editing job postings. Sounds like this person needs to take a few more classes on the subject ...

"I Need Help Writing Ethics Papers"

I am in immediate need of somebody to help me with several written assignments for a graduate level on-line Ethics class. I have invested as much time and energy as I am able and am still struggling. I need someone who can do some light reading and then help me prepare a written response to the instructor's questions. There are about five assignments with about 10 questions each. Most can be answered in less than a page.

All assignments must be completed and submitted over the next three weeks.

You do not need to be an Ethics expert to accept this assignment, but I do need someone who can write at a graduate level.

You must also be willing to meet with me at least weekly at my home or a neutral location in Flower Mound / Lewisville.

Please e-mail me if you can help.

*laughing* THAT is hilarious. Makes me wonder about the 'time and energy' invested...

I think I would take the assignment, then turn his ass in to the professor! LMAO

Bet that would teach his ass a few things about ethics!

Taking a class in ethics doesn't make you any more ethical than taking a history class would make you a historian. Studying ethics doesn't always equate to having high ethical standards.

His advertisement may in fact be the assignment. In other words this may all be about seeing who would respond to an add clearly asking to help him cheat on an ethics paper.

I had a friend in college who used to sign up for psychology experiments for money. One experiment said that there would be some amount of physical pain but he inquired anyway. It turned out that the real experiment was seeing who would actually sign up for an experiment where pain was involved. So this guy may be cheating or simply studying how other people respond to the situation he's created.

The whole premise is flawed. Using "ethics" and "craigslist" in the same sentence is just wrong.
